A couple of days ago, Emma Watson decided to join the books on the underground initiative, the aim of which is to encourage people to read. This time, the actress decided to spread her feminist point of view by hiding feminist books in London’s underground. The book is called Mom & Me & Mom, an autobiography written by Maya Angelou. Emma also added messages inside the book for those who find them. Some people have already found some of the copies and she is encouraging them to leave comments on the narrative on the message board of her online book club “Our Shared Shelf”.
And guess what? There are not only books hidden in London. Emma Watson is also hiding books in NYC. She is hiding the same book. If you live in New York and you are curious to read Emma Watson’s choice, go out and look for one of the copies! The book is about Angelou’s relationship with her mother, which transformed from one of deep pain to one of deep love.
We love how Emma keeps surprising us! She is a brilliant young woman :)
