Best Christmas tv advert ever?

One hundred years after one of the roughest periods of world history, the Great War, British supermarket Sainsbury´s has launched their Christmas advert, teaming up with the Royal British Legion.

Based on real events that happened during the Great War, advert creators got the idea from letters written during that time. The commercial which retells the story of Christmas Day in 1914, when opposing British and German soldiers came out of their trenches to exchange gifts and allegedly play football in no-man´s land, has gone viral.

The chocolate bar appearing in the advert will be sold in all Sainsbury´s supermarkets for £1 with all profits going to the British legion.

Vocabulary
